Torquay has been one of the leading towns in the region when it comes to the increase in internet usage during the pandemic. 
Businesses in the South West will need to offer hybrid working (a mixture of both office and homeworking) in the future if they are to retain the best talent, according to new research* from connectivity provider TalkTalk. 
87% of office workers in the South West said hybrid working would be an important factor when searching for a new job, as the post-pandemic working landscape begins to take shape.  
Top hybrid working hotspots in the South West: 
Dorchester (45% increase in internet usage over the pandemic) 
Swindon (43%) 
Taunton (42%) 
Torquay (38%) 
The most popular areas for investment have been faster, more reliable broadband (29%), a new laptop or PC (27%), a wireless mesh router (15%) and smart cameras (14%).
