Cary Arms & Spa June 2017
The Cary Arms Hotel and Spa in Babbacombe Bay, Torquay, is up for sale after nearly two decades of family ownership.
The South Devon hotel overlooking the sea has been put up for sale with a guide price of £4.5m.
The Cary Arms Hotel and Spa, owned by the de Savary family since 2006, has undergone extensive refurbishment, including the addition of six beach hut rooms, two beach suites and a luxury spa with a hydrotherapy pool.
Dating back to the 1880s, the hotel is known for its original features, landscaped gardens, and award-winning food and accommodation. It offers 18 sea-facing rooms and a restaurant, as well as a collection of self-catering cottages available by separate negotiation.
Lana de Savary said: “The Cary Arms has been a true passion project for us. It has been an honour to restore and reimagine such a unique seaside property. This feels like the right moment to step back and allow new owners to take it to even greater heights.”
The property is being marketed by Knight Frank LLP.
