Stagecoach on stage at the Princess Theatre
Young performers were stars of the show in a special performance at Torquay's Princess Theatre.
A whopping 126 young performers from Stagecoach Performing Arts Torquay and Newton Abbot lit up the stage at the Princess.
Delivering a powerful and joyous performance in Stagecoach Live 2025, where students from across the county joined forces to collaborate on an evening of theatre for all.
Students aged six to 18 years wowed the audience with an energetic mix of singing, dancing, and acting, showcasing their creativity, teamwork, and dedication in a dazzling display of young talent.
With professionally-staged musical theatre numbers, heartfelt solo performances, and high-energy ensemble routines, the show was a true celebration of the performing arts.
Principal Eizabeth Price Holden said: "The energy and passion from every single student on that stage was unforgettable. Watching them grow in confidence and shine under the lights is what Stagecoach is all about. I’m incredibly proud of each and every one of them – and endlessly grateful to our inspiring teaching team for making the magic happen."
She added: "Stagecoach Torquay and Newton Abbot is more than just singing, dancing, and acting, it’s a place where students feel safe, supported, and celebrated. It’s where confidence grows week by week, where friendships are formed that last beyond the classroom, and where every child gets the chance to shine.
"With encouraging teachers, a creative atmosphere, and opportunities to perform in real theatres, students learn to express themselves, take pride in who they are, and discover just how much they’re capable of – on stage and in life.
"Performances like this are proof that the performing arts matter. In a world that sometimes overlooks creativity, it’s important to shout about how powerful it is. Drama, singing, and dance don’t just entertain, they build resilience, teamwork, empathy, and joy. That’s worth celebrating."
