Torbay's unpaid carers celebrated with free events
Unpaid carers invited to take part in free activities during Carers' Week
Carers’ Week will be celebrated from 9 to 15 June

Carers’ Week will be celebrated from 9 to 15 June, and Torbay Carers are inviting unpaid carers from across the Bay to take part in a wide range of free activities.
Highlights include a steam train trip to Dartmouth, guided tours of Kents Cavern, Torre Abbey and the Lyceum Theatre in Torquay, along with talks, fishing sessions, cream teas and creative workshops.
Torbay Carers provides ongoing support and information for unpaid carers living in the area. As part of their Carer Friendly Torbay initiative, carers are offered a variety of benefits, including free health and wellbeing checks from a Carer Support Worker, access to training courses, and discounts on local goods and services.
Additional support includes free hospital parking when attending in support of the person they care for, alongside a range of other helpful services.
Anyone who provides unpaid care, or knows someone who does, is encouraged to get in touch.
