Flamenco star to bring fiery passion to Palace Theatre

Get ready for an unforgettable evening of fiery dance and raw emotion as internationally acclaimed flamenco dancer Rebeca Ortega brings her spectacular show to Paignton.

‘Silences’ is coming to the Palace Theatre on Friday, March 14.

What’s more, you can have a go with special Flamenco workshops after the show.

Rebeca, a rising star from Seville, has performed across the globe, dazzling audiences with her artistry and dynamic stage presence. 

Her breathtaking flamenco performance, woven together with traditional music and dance, delves into the chaos of modern life, exploring the necessity of silence amidst the noise of the world.

Her innovative approach blends the roots of flamenco with fresh, contemporary influences. Having performed everywhere from Europe to Asia, Africa, and America, her performances are an extraordinary celebration of Spain’s rich flamenco tradition.

But the magic doesn’t stop there.

For those inspired by the artistry of flamenco, exclusive dance and music workshops will take place at Stage Left on Saturday, March 15. 

Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced dancer, this is your chance to step into the passionate world of flamenco under Rebeca’s expert guidance.

Two dance workshops will run, the first aimed at beginners (10am to 11am), followed by intermediates (11.30am– 12:30pm).

For music lovers, a Spanish Guitar Workshop will be held from 2pm to 4pm, where guitarists of all levels will be guided through the sounds of flamenco, culminating in a special finale where musicians will join the dancers for an exhilarating live performance.
