Paignton's Palace Theatre is offering up a Christmas classic—with some classic names to boot.

This holiday season, theatre lovers are being given the chance to step into the enchanting world of Victorian London as A Christmas Carol—A Radio Play Live on Stage arrives at the venue.

Brought to life by the Crime and Comedy Theatre Company, this captivating adaptation of Charles Dickens’ timeless tale promises a unique and unforgettable evening of festive storytelling on Saturday, December 7.

Leading the cast are two television icons: Colin Baker (Doctor Who, The Brothers) as Ebenezer Scrooge and Peter Purves (Blue Peter, The Office). Adding to the magic, the legendary Tom Baker (Doctor Who) appears in a specially filmed role as Jacob Marley, setting the stage for an extraordinary theatrical experience.

This production reimagines Dickens’ classic as a live radio broadcast, complete with actors performing as if in a studio and sound effects created live on stage. Audiences will be transported to the icy streets of Victorian London as they follow Scrooge on his journey of redemption, guided by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come.
