Bus stop changes at Torquay’s harbourside

Temporary bus stopping arrangements will be in place at nearby locations

Bus stop changes at Torquay’s harbourside

On Monday 8 July bus passengers are advised that large areas of the Cary Parade Bus Hub on Torquay’s harbourside will be cordoned off between 8am and 4pm.

Resurfacing of the new bus hub will be taking place, ready for new waiting passenger seating to be installed.

Temporary bus stopping arrangements will be in place at nearby locations.

For one day only the temporary arrangements for services on the Cary Green side are:

  • Services 12, 61 and 62 will stop opposite the Torbay Hotel.
  • Service 64 will stop on the arcade side of Cary Parade.

Services 22 and 35c will continue to stop at the Cary Green Bus Hub.

All services that currently depart from the arcade side of Cary Parade will not be affected.

Signage will be in place to direct passengers.

All bus passengers are advised to follow the signage and cross at safe crossing points. A light controlled pedestrian crossing is available outside the Torbay Hotel.

For details on service operating times, bus users are encouraged to check www.travelinesw.com or to contact individual bus operators.

The Strand public realm project is the first of three major Torquay harbourside regeneration projects that have been made possible after Torquay Council secured £21.9million of Town Deal Funding to deliver the Torquay Town Investment Plan.

Work on this project remains on track for completion in the autumn.
