Newton Abbot Railway Station
Heavy flooding has blocked the railway line between Totnes and Plymouth.
Great Western Railway say that they expect disruption to continue until 6pm this evening.
The Met Office has also issued a yellow weather warning, with delays to all travel expected.
Train services between London Paddington and Penzance via Plymouth may be cancelled, delayed or terminated at and started back from Exeter St Davids.
However, GWR is requesting rail replacement transport to operate between Exeter St Davids, Newton Abbot and Plymouth.
The line going the other way, from Plymouth to Newton Abbot, remains open. However, travellers should expect delays.
A spokesperson for GWR said: "During this disruption, if you wish to use local buses as an alternative means of transport and the local bus is not accepting GWR tickets please purchase a ticket on the bus, keep it and send it, together with your train ticket, to us to claim for a refund."
The flooding will also affect journeys from Cardiff and Bristol as well as CrossCountry Trains to the North.
