Zoo celebrates summer with kids go free offer

Wild Planet Trust, the charitable organisation behind both Paignton Zoo and Newquay Zoo, has announced that it will be offering free admission for children across both attractions this summer.
This special offer is part of several activities to celebrate Paignton Zoo’s centenary year and the origins of Wild Planet Trust, an established conservation, research and education charity that manages three nature reserves in the UK and co-ordinates a number of international conservation projects.
The offer will run for the duration of the school summer holidays (Saturday, July 22 to Sunday, September 3), which will allow free entry for up to two children aged under 16 with each full price adult ticket purchased.
This follows on from the success of this years ‘Schools go Free in ‘23’ initiative, where both Paignton Zoo and Newquay Zoo have been inviting young people to visit and experience the wonders of nature - free of charge.
The campaign has been so successful, with more than 30,000 visits from school children across the two zoos so far, that Wild Planet Trust has decided to extend it to all kids this summer, enabling more children to discover, learn and be inspired to help halt species decline.
Head of Campaigns and Programmes Steve Nash commented: “We launched our ‘Schools go free’ offer because we want as many children as possible to find out why nature is amazing, why conservation matters and how we can all do something to help. We’re excited to spread this message even further by inviting children to our zoos for free throughout the summer holidays.”

Paignton Zoo, Newquay Zoo and three nature reserves (Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve, Primley Park and Clennon Gorge) are all part of the charity Wild Planet Trust.
Wild Planet Trust co-ordinates wildlife conservation projects both in the UK and overseas, as well as research projects on topics such as animal behaviour, nutrition, enrichment and ecology.
Wild Planet Trust is helping to halt species decline and acts to protect at-risk animals and plants from the impacts of biodiversity loss.
