Major gas works are taking place in Paignton.
Wales & West Utilities is investing over £844,000 to prepare the gas network for the future of the town.
But the work, in the Totnes Road area, will start on September 27 and is not due to finish until the end of May next year.
The company says the work is essential to keep the gas flowing safely to heat and power local homes and businesses. It involves upgrading over four kilometres of gas pipes.
To keep disruption to a minimum, Wales & West Utilities has worked closely with Torbay Council to plan the work. So that engineers and the local community are kept safe during the work, it has been agreed that traffic management will be used. This will involve rolling traffic lights along Totnes Road for the duration of the project, as well as a lane closure along Totnes Road and Kings Ash Road from September 27 to October 22
