A special fund-raising day is being organised locally by Living Down South - a group run for, by and in support of members of the Down Syndrome community in South Devon.

On Sunday it is World Down Syndrome Day and members are coming together remotely to raise funds.

21 for 21! will see members taking part in various ‘21’ themed challenges, representing the third copy of the 21st chromosome that people with Down Syndrome have, including walking 21km, dancing to 21 songs and making 21 pottery pots made in 21 minutes.

Member Tracy Osborne-Foulkes says: "Funds are used towards therapies to help development, fun community events and parties, online get togethers during lockdown, and training for our members and local trusts. All of which helps spread up to date awareness and positivity around Down Syndrome."
