The overwhelming Torbay community response to the Covid crisis has seen a flood of donations sent into the Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust.

A whole range of fundraising ideas over the past six months has enabled the trust to purchase new kettles, microwaves and a fridge to meet the needs of more staff working longer shifts.

Donations have provided digital radios for isolated patients and supplied self-care products for staff, making them feel better after a busy shift.

The trust has been able to establish wellbeing spaces for staff to unwind, 800 metres of fabric has been used to provide extra scrubs, shared memory boxes have helped people cope with the loss of a family member and iPads deployed in clinical areas for patients to communicate with loved ones.
