Residents are being asked to play a part in deciding the future of Brixham and its surrounding villages.
Brixham Town Council has voted to create a Task and Finish Group to oversee aspects of the Brixham Peninsula Neighbourhood Plan and is inviting the public to join in the work to protect its green spaces and develop new ideas.

The group will make recommendations to the town council’s planning and regeneration committee on planning applications across the community, including Churston, Galmpton and Broadsands, as well as consider how the plan can be updated.

Planning and regeneration chairman David Blackmore thanked the now disbanded Neighbourhood Forum for the ‘exceptional work’ they have done over many years.

He said: “Brixham Town Council wants to ensure that the villages within it remain properly represented in its deliberations.”
