Family run Beverley Holidays has been operating in the Bay for over 60 years. It offers a range of accommodation from luxury lodges to holiday caravans with hot tubs to camping and touring, attracting families from all over the UK.
Beverley Holidays employs up to 150 staff in peak season and sometimes struggles to find quality applicants for some positions.
“We have such a variety of employment on offer but working in tourism is not sometimes seen as a career – and we just don’t understand why not. We have a great team here, and as a family, we pride ourselves in working together to make sure our customers have a wonderful stay,” said Claire Flower, Director of Beverley Holidays.
With its variety of offering and facilities, a holiday park presents many opportunities for all different employment types and skills, from customer service, maintenance, food and beverage, marketing to management.
Nikki Collings, Head of Inventory and Reservations, is a prime example of how a career in Leisure and Tourism can be so rewarding.
“I love being part of the team at Beverley Holidays because there’s nothing better than providing fantastic holidays and showing off the English Riviera," said Nikki. "The stunning views from the park are an added perk too!”
Nikki started her career at Beverley Holiday 13 years ago as a seasonal receptionist. Nikki’s enthusiasm and initiative made her a team player, helping in most departments when needed and she was soon promoted to overseeing the reception.
Following training and hard work, and great respect from her colleagues, Nikki is now a valued member of the senior management team overseeing Reservations.
She added: “There really is something special about working here, it’s hard work, but a fun environment and every day is different.
"We strive to exceed expectations to give the best holiday experience, and every team member plays a huge role in this. Of course, there are challenges along the way, however Team Beverley works together across all departments to overcome these, which makes for an effective and enjoyable working environment.”
