Lifeboat supporter John Wilkes won't be beaten when it comes to his favourite cause.
Due to the pandemic he has not been able to get out for the past year and a couple of charity events he was planning on working at were cancelled.
So he made a Torbay lifeboat model for an unusual draw prize.
He says: "I have decided to set up a just giving page for the RNLI. The aim is to hit £500 through individuals donating to the charity. This will run until the end of August At the end of two months a person who has donated will be selected at random to receive the model.
"f they did not want the model themselves then they could donate it to the RNLI to use for publicity and to show at charity events or even donate to a lifeboat station of their choice for display.!
The model is specifically of the Torbay boat which is at Brixham heading out to sea in a fierce storm. It is 1/72 scale and represents a Severn Class boat.
