Centenarian Joan Nott was given a very special gift for her very special birthday.
Joan received a signed book of the first Agatha Christie book that was published in 1920 - the year she was born.
The book, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, arrived with a note and card from Agatha Christie's grandson Mathew Pritchard.
Joan and her late husband, Michael, were Blue Badge Tourist Guides for 30 years promoting tourism on the English Riviera. Joan specialised in crime writer Agatha Christie.
Joan, who lives in Torquay, had planned a party for her celebrations last Thursday but that has been put on hold due to the lockdown. Instead, she celebrated on her balcony as other residents sang 'happy birthday' from the gardens and she opened her cards, including one from the Queen and one from Dame Vera Lynn. Joan's great niece Esme in London made fruit cakes and sent slices to more than 100 friends and family with a request to eat the cake and enjoy a drink of their choice at 1pm on her birthday.
