It is part of a £200million nationwide funding boost for further education colleges announced by Education Secretary Gavin Williamson.

The £891,473 boost will enable the Paignton-based college to ‘build back better’ and kick-start work to upgrade their buildings.

Torbay MP Kevin Foster said: “The college does amazing work to help the next generation in our bay fulfil their aspirations and potential.

“I am delighted it is one of 19 South West colleges to secure a share of over £19million. This will help deliver the skills and training needed for the jobs of the future.”

Brixham MP Anthony Mangnall added: “The allocation demonstrates the determination to see further education thrive in the coming years. This money will have a significant impact on the college and those who study there.”
