Mid-Devon cyclists are National Time Trial Team champions

The Mid-Devon Cycle Club are National Time Trial Team champions for the first time in their history after winning the award at the weekend, when the 25-mile championships were held in Devon, on the old A30 between Wellington and Cullompton.

Robin Delve (pictured left), Harry Loader (centre) and Lee Sanderson made their piece of club history, with former world Masters cyclo-cross champion Delve switching back to the road to clock 1hr 3mins 46secs, Loader from Kingsteignton 1.02.32 and Sanderson from Torquay 1.00.41.

Teenagers Callum Start (57.21 – ave 26.2mph) and James Pearcy (1.00.00) finished second and third in the National Junior champs over the same course.

And Torquay Academy’s Bayley Woodger was fourth in the Year 7/8 age-group at the UK Schools CA Hill Climb Championships at Ditcham in Hampshire.
