Supporter Alan Lindley is hoping his portrait of a special and much-missed tiger will help raise funds for Paignton Zoo.
The picture is of Sumatran tiger Shakira who died last year.
Alan, formerly from South Devon but who now lives in Dorset, said: "The pastel portrait was being donated to Paignton Zoo, for them to do what they want with it. If it is kept as a memorial to the Tiger, 'Shakira' or used to help, or, raise funds I will be just as happy. The way mankind is ravaging the Planet, zoos may be the only way of protecting species from becoming extinct. When I lived in Kingswear, I visited the zoo a number of times, and liked the way it was managed."
He and his wife, Maggie, visited the zoo to hand over the portrait as s well as an extra portrait of a Cheetah
A zoo official said: "‘We would like to thank Alan for the donation of such a lovely portrait of a tiger. He is very talented."
