Marketing company The Oxygen Agency is opening an office in Newton Abbot and plans to create new jobs.

The Tiverton-based agency handles web development, branding and PR for businesses across the county.

"Newton Abbot is a well-located town with a thriving business community, and offers excellent growth prospects for both established and start-up businesses. We are very excited to be opening an office here," said founder and managing director Steve Lodge.

"We believe that strong businesses are built on strong brands. Marketing, design and PR all have a vital role to play in keeping the regional economy thriving, and our expertise and commitment to customer satisfaction will bring tangible benefits to the local businesses who choose to work with us."

Councillor Mike Joyce, Mayor of Newton Abbot, said: "It is with pleasure that I am able to support the opening of the new office of The Oxygen Agency office in our town, based on Brunel Industrial Estate, offering full service marketing communications with the clients using them as an outsourced service.

"The Oxygen Agency, having established themselves in Tiverton in 2002, saw the requirement to open a further office in Devon, offering the same full-service that they have built a reputation on.

"They chose Newton Abbot, as they saw it as a growing, vibrant and thriving town, which of course it is and felt that by establishing an office base here, they would be uniquely placed to be able to offer their established brand of service to the whole of South Devon and Cornwall.

"I wish The Oxygen Agency the very best for the future in their new location of Newton Abbot and I hope that they will take the opportunity to become embedded within the many opportunities that our town has to offer."

Oxygen works with a range of clients in Devon and beyond, from small businesses to blue chips, and plans to engage with more regional businesses.

With scalable office space they  hope to expand their Newton Abbot presence in coming months with new vacancies for web developers and marketers.
