A glimpse at tourism in Torbay of yesterday is this week’s pictorial treat from Torquay Museum.

These old images show life around the Bay in bygone times.

The coach station and car park in Lymington Road looks very busy as holidaymakers flocked to the town.

The visitors would have enjoyed the Livermead Cliff Hotel, pictured here on a postcard, and visit to Longpark Pottery for a souvenir of their annual trip to the seaside.

The fourth picture shows life going on shortly after a train accident at Livermead in 1962, no doubt involving - but hopefully not injuring - holidaymakers.
