Graham Fay had a good session landing more than 20 carp to weights in excess of 10lbs from pond one. Father and son duo Barry and Robbie Maddicot from Abotskerswell had a great session on pond two, bagging up with carp to 5lbs as well as small bream and a tench of around 3lbs. Jason Fay fished an evening on pond two fished the margins with a pole and pellets and landed 19 fish to 6lbs. Newbarn Farm Fishery continues to fish well with Paignton angler Bob Wooster getting in on the action again with two carp in excess of 20lbs, one of them being Goldie. The smaller pools continue to fish well with good numbers of smaller carp, and silvers. The tackle shop continues to be stocked with terminal tackle and various baits including boillies, pellets and maggots. Remember, you still need to book. The sea is still producing with local marks around the Bay giving mackerel on some tides and not on others, such is the nature of this nomadic species. The beaches of East Devon and the South Hams continue to throw up smoothounds. Neil Edwards and Justin Faye took a trip to Slapton with their sons where between them in just a few hours landed seven smoothhounds to over 10lbs losing several others close to the shore. Other anglers are reporting small bass and the ever present dogfish. I managed just a short shore session this week, unfortunately all I managed for my efforts were three mackerel, very tasty with a salad. Pollack, bass and the occasional cod are still being reported being caught from the boats although unfortunately I have no pictures this week. Please send some in via my Facebook page. I would also like to hear from the various clubs around the Bay also. The Angling Trust has issued new guidelines for charter boat angling so, hopefully, a few more boats can get out soon ang get among some of those fantastic fish that the area is famed for. Tight lines and stay safe.
