Young golfer Theo McKay may have created a piece of history after hitting a hole-in-one - at the age of 12.
It is believed Theo may be the youngest golfer in the history of Torquay Golf Club.to achieve the famous fete
Theo has been a member at Torquay for nearly two years having recently taken up the game.
His brother Seth, dad Jamie, and grandparents Sue and Chris Yeoman are all members of the club so golf is a bit of a family affair. Sue is a past Ladies captain.
Theo was playing in the Junior Open at Torquay on Sunday and teed off from the 178-yard, par three hole on the course, using a six iron off the back from the white tee. He hit a punchy shot that carried to the left of the front bunker, checking on the up slop in front of the green before releasing and rolling nicely to the right into the hole.
Dad Jamie, who was helping to support both Theo and his playing partner Emerson Ives as they went round the course, said: "I was a bit lost for words as the ball seemingly disappeared off the green into the hole. A quick jog up to green was needed to confirm what had happened and then a phone call was made back to the Grandparents in the starters hut to confirm what had happened."
There was a small presentation made to Theo in the clubhouse afterwards - and hopefully confirmation later that he is the youngest player in the club's history to join the hole-in-one brigade.
