Enjoy half-price annual tickets at Torquay Museum as The National Lottery Open Week returns for spring 2022.

To say thank you for the £30m raised for good causes every week by players, National Lottery-funded venues are offering discounts, and special offers throughout Open Week, from March 19 to 27.

Torquay Museum is offering 50 per cent off an annual ticket to Lottery ticket holders on March 24.

From Saturday, March 19 to Sunday, March 27, anyone with a valid National Lottery ticket or scratchcard can enjoy exclusive offers at Lottery-funded venues and attractions, including Torquay Museum.

There is so much to explore this Open Week, from delving into the past at historical houses, castles and museums to embracing nature in all its glory at wildlife hotspots, to reliving iconic moments at sports venues or enjoying a culture fix at art galleries and theatres across the country.

Torquay Museum is offering 50 per cent off an annual ticket to the museum and free guidebooks to anyone with a valid lottery ticket on Thursday, March 24.

A Torquay Museum spokesperson said: "We are delighted to be taking part in The National Lottery Open Week this year.

"Over the last few years the National Lottery funding has supported several of the museum’s temporary exhibitions including our 175th anniversary project.

"This project saw 100 local people choose items from the stores and allowed us to create Windows in Time, a free exhibition of historic images on the streets of Torbay.

"It has also contributed Covid support funding keeping the museum alive through this hugely challenging period.

"We are enormously grateful to all the Lottery players for all their support. This is our way of saying thank you to anyone who had bought a national Lottery ticket, please come and visit us soon."

Darren Henley, chief executive of Arts Council England and chair of the National Lottery Forum, said: “The National Lottery Open Week is a fantastic opportunity for hundreds of venues and projects across the UK to say thanks to players who raise £30 million each week for good causes.

"The UK is world-renowned for its rich and vibrant culture, and with so many incredible sites across sport, heritage, film, community and the arts sectors taking part in Open Week this year, National Lottery players are spoilt for choice when it comes to a great day out.”
