Stephen Coombes takes a festive trip
The festive feeling is beginning to emerge through the gloom of a wet November and Torbay Weekly photographer Stephen Coombes got himself in the mood with some snaps on the Christmas Train of Lights.
Running from Queen’s Park Station in Paignton, the seasonal route twinkles along the tracks to Churston, through the Greenway tunnel and on to the historic town of Dartmouth. After a quick turnaround at Kingswear, passengers return to Paignton and experience the spectacle from a different direction.
It is a wonderful experience for all ages in the family, combining the bright lights of Christmas with the traditional splendour of a steam train with vintage carriages.
