Freemasons hand over donation to Torbay lifeboat
The Newton Abbot Lodge of the Devon Freemasons have made a special presentation to the Torbay lifeboat.
The Freemasons and the RNLI have a long association going back to 1871 with the provision of a lifeboat at North Berwick.
Over the years 14 lifeboats have been provided, locally Hope Cove in 1878 had a lifeboat station built, and more recently in our sister province of Cornwall the Newquay lifeboat Valerie Wilson is still in service.
Regular fundraising of any amount helps the RNLI.
