An enforced two-week break, after Saturday's trip to League One big spenders Wrexham, should come at a good time for Torquay United, says manager Gary Johnson.
The Gulls don't play again until bottom club Dover Athletic travel to Plainmoor on November 13, because their recent FA Cup defeat at Havant and Waterlooville knocked them out of a first round trip to Charlton Athletic on November 6.
"We'd rather be playing at Charlton, of course," said Johnson, "but Wrexham is a very big game for us first and then we've got a good schedule worked out which should benefit us greatly.
"There'll be some rest, but also plenty of fitness work and testing, and those two weeks will hopefully bring back the lads (Danny Wright, Tom Lapslie, Asa Hall) who are currently injured."
After the Wrexham match, United will already have played away to six of the top ten sides in the division.
