Exeter Uni are Devon Football League champions
The University of Exeter have secured the North & East Division title in the Scott Richards Solicitors Devon Football League.
The students moved five points clear of nearest rivals Exwick Villa, who only have one game remaining, with a confident 4-0 defeat of Feniton, a 16th straight victory since September for the Uni side.
In a tremendous display of local sportsmanship, the Uni players were applauded off the field by their visitors from Feniton and congratulations to all involved for a brilliant season. The other game in the DFL ended with a 6-0 win for Topsham Town at Clyst Valley.
In the East Devon Senior Cup, Lapford booked their place in the quarter-finals with a 2-1 defeat of Lyme Regis. An own goal and Roger Hill’s strike won it for Lapford. Alphington are already through to the semi-finals and will be away to either Elmore or Kentisbeare.
