Events for South Devon AC runners of all ages and abilities

Torbay Weekly

South Devon AC runners spread out across the country for races last weekend with events from Parkrun to marathons.

The Carr family attended the popular Bournemouth Running Festival with events to suit all ages and abilities.

Competing in the senior female category, juniors Lauren and Hannah Carr finished eighth and tenth female in the Supersonic 5K and and Steve Carr ran the Bournemouth half on the Sunday.

Matt Dalton continued racing with the South West Coast Path Marathon on Saturday, then the hot and hilly Eden Project Marathon on Sunday – apparently he’s going to have a bit of a rest now!

Some great PBs at Torbay Parkrun from Jim Colbert (juniors) and Alison Ford.

Dave Cubberley resumed his Parkrun tourism by rocking up to Greenock Parkrun.

There was a good attendance by SDAC juniors at the first event in the Westward League Cross Country series.

The different age groups run different distances and there was some determined running by all especially by Grace Povey finishing despite hurting her foot on the course.
