Ed Byrne being honest in Babbacombe

Torbay Weekly

Ed Byrne presents his brand-new masterclass in observational comedy in his new show, If I’m Honest, which will be at the Babbacombe Theatre for one night only on Saturday, 19th March at 8pm

Join Ed Byrne as he takes a long hard look at himself and tries to decide if he has ANY traits that are worth passing on to his children on a guaranteed night of laughter, insight and maybe a few parenting lessons for us all.

A TV household name, Ed has appeared on Live at The Apollo (Host, BBC), Mock The Week (BBC), The Pilgrimage (BBC), Top Gear (BBC) and QI (BBC) to name just a few.

Ed’s personal TV highlights though, include, doing a walk-and-talk with Martin Sheen on The Graham Norton Show, winning All-Star Family Fortunes, hosting four seasons of Ed Byrne's Just for Laughs on RTE, sledding down the side of a volcano for Dara and Ed’s Great Big Adventure and being a part of the ensemble cast of Reunited for the BBC.

However, other people would tell you he was best known for... ITV's Christmas panto, Aladdin, an integral part of Christmas; for eight years as the voiceover on the Carphone Warehouse ads, his breakthrough role as "teenager" on the Father Ted Christmas special, A Christmassy Ted and, of course, getting a pie in the face from Robert Downey Jr. on The Graham Norton Show!

Ed received acclaim and praise, with multiple 5-star reviews after his last tour, which was prior to the pandemic. He was originally meant to have been at the Torquay venue back in 2020. South Devon audiences have been very patient for this new show date to come around and the venue’s management feel sure that seeing this show will be well worth the wait for fans of this timeless comedian.

Tickets bought for previous dates are still viable, however there are tickets still available for this month’s show, from £25, and you can book yours by calling 01803 328385 OR you can buy online at www.babbacome-theatre.com. Please be advised this show has an age recommendation of 16 years.
