Brixham Art Society Exhibition

Doors open Brixham Art Society’s Annual Summer Exhibition

Torbay Weekly

A colourful highlight of Brixham’s summer calendar is Brixham Art Society’s Annual Summer Exhibition.

Both professional and amateur artists belonging to the Society take part, showing paintings of vitality, humour and imagination, with Brixham town itself, and its nearby coastline, often the focus and subject matter.  A wide variety of styles on show will ensure something for everyone, and all works are on sale at prices far below those seen in professional galleries.

Julia Lee, Art Society Chair, enthused, “Each year it comes as a welcome surprise as to how the quality of work on show improves, and improves again. Comments from the public are always glowing and positive. It’s actually a privilege to be involved in an event that showcases Brixham talent at its best.”

The exhibition will take place in the Scala Hall, Market St, Brixham from Wednesday, July 27 to Saturday, August 6, opening each day at 10am to 5pm with free entry. Visit www.brixhamartsociety.co.uk
