College girls' great bake sell-off raises record amount

Brixham College sixth formers showed their caring side by holding a McMillan coffee morning for staff and students alike.

A core management team rallied the troupes and hundreds of delicious cakes and biscuits were donated for the event.

The coffee morning and cake sale were held over both breaks and a whopping £280 was raised for the charity.

Emily and Chloe, both year 13 business students, were involved in the marketing and finance of the gathering and said: "We are really happy that we raised this record-breaking amount from the school. McMillan help many different families in our community and we are happy to have helped in our small way."
