Torbay-based Bays Brewery is toasting a string of awards having won Gold for three of its multiple award-winning ales at the 2022 Taste of the West Awards.
Its popular Devon Dumpling, Devon Rock and Pure Gold all took top honours at the prestigious competition, which took place last month.
To add to its awards’ streak, Devon Rock, Devon Cove and Topsail were also hailed at the 2022 National SIBA Awards, while Devon Dumpling scooped the coveted Gold.
The SIBA Independent Beer Awards represent the very best beer from the UK’s independent brewers and are judged by fellow brewers and industry experts, making these awards the “Brewers’ Choice” awards in the UK.
Bays Brewery Director, Peter Salmon, said: “We are hugely proud to be toasting 10 years and our recent award success is confirmation that we continue to be as passionate as ever at brewing the best beers in the South West.
“We’d like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all our customers and beer fans who have supported us and here’s to many more years of top quality ales brewed right here in Torbay.”
The family run brewery was launched by Will Freeland, Mark Salmon and Peter Salmon in June 2007 with a 20-barrel brew plant being installed in Aspen Way, Paignton.
In addition to its award-winning beers, Bays champions the local community by sponsoring a wealth of Torbay events, including the English Riviera Air Show, the Dartmouth Music festival, the Royal Dartmouth Regatta, the Brixham Pirate Festival and many more.
The brewery has also raised more than £20,000 for wildlife conservation to date through its work with Paignton Zoo, for which it has created a number of limited-edition ales, including its most recent Savanna Ale, which was launched in May this year.
Bays Brewerys’ commitment to top quality ales remains stronger than ever and there are exciting plans ahead for the family run business, so watch this space!
