Buckland back on Wembley trail

Torbay Weekly

Five years on from their best-ever run to the quarter finals, Buckland Athletic are back on the Wembley trail this Saturday when they meet Egham Town in the fourth round of the Buildbase FA Vase at Homers Heath.

With Torquay United having no game this weekend, Buckland are hoping to attract some Gulls fans to swell what is sure to be a bumper gate for the tie against Surrey side Egham of the Combined Counties League.

Buckland have beaten Camelford (3-0), Falmouth Town (3-1) and Wellington (2-0) on their way to this stage - they have already won almost £3,000 in prize money, and there is another £1,875 at stake on Saturday.

Paul Froude's side includes several talented young graduates of the South Devon College-based ProDirect Academy and, with another home draw, they have high hopes of carrying the Devon flag into the last-16.
