Brixham AFC Reserves and Watts Blake Bearne share top spot in the TCS South Devon Football League Premier Division following home wins last Saturday.

WBB and Ivybridge Town Reserves fought out a close and entertaining battle at Abbrook Park, running out 3-2 winners. Cam Gill, Jakeb Heywood-Cann and sub Tom Taylor found the net for the unbeaten Claymen.

Second half strikes from Ben Bowhay, Thomas Comyn and substitute Finn Roberts finally brought some joy to struggling Meadowbrook Athletic as they beat Galmpton United 3-0 for their first points of the campaign. The Greens have now lost two league games in a row.

The Windmill continue to struggle to reach their usual heights as they went down 5-1 to East Allington United. Fin Bullen managed four goals for the Pirates with Jim Weeks also on target; Curtis Wescott scored a consolation goal for the hosts.

Buckfastleigh Rangers will keep Brixham Reserves company in the Third Round of the Devon Premier Cup as they achieved a stunning 9-1 victory away at Devon Football League side Ipplepen Athletic.

In an ironic twist, it was the reverse scoreline of the last time these sides met here in last season's Manor Building Company Premier Division Cup.

Ryan Lucassi scored four times for Rangers and Tom Moody came off the bench to grab a brace. Jordan Jones, Charlie Morgan and Joshua Zimmerman also scored.

Rangers will host Budleigh Salterton in the next round with Brixham away at Kentisbeare.

Seven South Devon League clubs progressed into the Third Round of the Devon Senior Cup.

First through were Chudleigh Athletic Reserves who dispatched Cullompton Rangers Reserves on the Friday evening. Jordan Armstrong and sub Bradley Yarnall struck for the visitors who won 2-0.

Kingsteignton Athletic had to survive a late scare at Broadpark to secure their place in the hat. The Rams were good value for a 4-1 second half lead when a combination of sloppy defending and precise finishing saw visiting Hatherleigh Town AFC score two late goals before bowing out.

It was also 4-3 at Kingskerswell Playing Fields as the home side knocked out Braunton Thirds courtesy of goals from Ryan Fox, Greg McPherson and sub James Horrocks.

Louis Brace celebrated a hat-trick away at Honiton Town Reserves as Beesands Rovers triumphed 7-2. Jack Eades scored twice and there were further goals from Jed Tucker and Jamie Watts.

There was just the one goal for Dan Langford this week as Ilsington Villa won 3-1 away at Tedburn St Mary. Matthew Teague and Matthew Warman joined Langford on the score-sheet.

After a goalless first half, Dan Bastin, Finn Bullingham, Rob Hutchings and Lee Prestage each scored for East Allington United Reserves as they defeated Feniton Reserves 4-2.

Babbacombe Corinthians ousted Devon Yeoman on penalties at Hamlin Lane following a 1-1 draw which saw goalscorer Jordan Charlesworth sent off.

Last year's Devon Intermediate Cup runners-up Brixham Town are out, losing 2-0 at home to fellow SDFL side Waldon Athletic Reserves.

In Division One, Callum Noyce scored a hat-trick for Ashburton but a double from Cameron Jones and a single from Jamie Hodge earned Paignton Saints Reserves a point at Chuley Road. Saints go top on goal difference.

Upton Athletic and Abbotskerswell were the only teams in the division without a point going into their match at Armada Park. Goals from Milan Babb, Marc McGregor and Jack Rendle ended Upton's three game losing streak to leave Abbots rock bottom.
