The winner of the latest Brixham Lottery draw has been selected.

The October 6 draw at the Birdcage Public House in New Road was ticket number 0987.

The winner has until midnight on November 6 to claim the prize of £1,000 or lifetime membership of the National Trust.

Brixham Lottery has already delivered some amazing prizes including a Spitfire flight, a luxury cruise for two people, an electric bike and cash prizes amounting to thousands of pounds.

Chief organiser John Rudden said: "We thank everyone who bought a ticket or several for family and friends.

"People know that our lottery cards make an excellent alternative to normal cards for any occasion.

"Also, local people see the outputs with new local murals, floral displays, and small projects. We have planned a few future free public celebrations of major events for next year. One hundred percent of income generated goes to a local project or good cause."

The lottery draw also saw the launch of the new Christmas lottery cards now available in Brixham shops including Flour Flower Cafe and Florist, Shells, Colours of Brixham art shop, Dobles Jewellers, Trinity Cakes and the Chart Room.

The new round's prize is £1,500 of jewellery from Dobles or an alternative cash prize.

Brixham Lottery promoter John Brennan said: "The appeal of our Brixham Lottery is that it sells very few tickets so people know they have a good chance of winning. People see where 100 per cent of the money goes on local projects, events or good causes.

"Even if you don`t win, players are getting something out of it locally. If people buy several ticket cards for family and friends they increase their chances dramatically."
