Asa aiming to return as Gulls aim to boost play-off hopes

Captain Asa Hall is poised to return for Torquay United, just as Joe Lewis drops out with a one-match suspension, as the Gulls try to end a run of four successive draws and boost their National League play-off hopes at lowly King's Lynn Town on Saturday.

Manager Gary Johnson could turn to midfielder Hall or young defender Ali Omar as a replacement for centre-back Lewis after his first-half dismissal in the gutsy 0-0 stalemate with Bromley last weekend.

Those draws, in a run of two defeats in 14 games, still leave United playing 'catch-up' ahead of a spell which includes games at King's Lynn and FC Halifax Town and at home to strugglers Aldershot Town and Weymouth.

Johnson has hinted that Hall, Dan Holman, Dan Martin and midfielder Armani Little, who limped off with a hip problem against Bromley, could all be back for this weekend's trip to Norfolk.
