Midfielder Armani Little and centre-forward Danny Wright have become the first of Torquay United's departing players to join new clubs (writes Dave Thomas).
Little, 25, has moved up two 'tiers' to sign a two-year deal with newly-promoted League One club Forest Green Rovers.
Veteran forward Wright, 37, has joined National League South side Havant & Waterlooville, who knocked the Gulls out of the FA Cup last season.
Little, from Southampton, moves up the M5 to Gloucestershire after scoring 19 goals, 15 of them last season, in 90 games over three years for Torquay.
Rovers' new manager Ian Burchnall, who moved to the New Lawn recently from Notts County, said: "Armani is a player I've come up against in the last couple of seasons - he's had a fantastic year with Torquay, is hungry to improve and can add a lot to our midfield."
Gloucester-based Wright drops down a level to Havant after two increasingly injury-hampered seasons with the Gulls in which he still scored 17 goals in 58 appearances.
Connor Lemonheigh-Evans, Joe Lewis, Ben Wynter and goalkeeper Shaun MacDonald have also signalled their intentions to move on from United, who have yet to make their first signings of the summer.
