Absolute pleasure to raise money for Rowcroft with Absolute Challenge

Torbay Weekly

Staff from Absolute Sales and Lettings were challenged to find different ways of getting between their offices and raise money for Rowroft at the same time.

The agency is part of Rowcroft’s 40@40 corporate club and is one of 40 companies pledging to raise over £1,000 over the next year as the hospice marks its 40th anniversary.

Members of the team really challenged themselves to travel between the Absolute offices throughout South Devon and have so far raised over £3,000 through sponsorship.

Simon Fisher, from Absolute says: “We are so proud of all the team that took part in the Absolute Challenge, everyone pushed themselves to the limit to run, cycle, walk, paddleboard, kayak or skateboard between our five offices across South Devon.

“The day saw near perfect weather and the whole team were in high spirits, which meant we had plenty of laughs along the way.  The fact that we were doing it for such a valuable cause made it all worthwhile.  The local community were keen to support us supporting Rowcroft and so many people told us of their own stories of how Rowcroft has been an important part of their families lives over the past 40 years.

“We haven’t finished our fundraising yet though – we set out to raise £5,000 for Rowcroft and intend to hit this target with some other events later in the year.”

Rowcroft says: “Fundraising within your workplace is a great way of bringing your staff teams together, having fun and getting your brand out there in the local community.  And you don’t have to do a fitness challenge like Absolute. The team at Rowcroft can work with you to come up with some fundraising ideas that suit your company.  If you would like to find out more about joining Rowcroft’s 40@40 Corporate Club, please do email
